Dropped on a grill
With tongs in hand
Follow the smell
To the beef filled land

And we have arrived at
The meat smoker
Time to read the scroll
Perform the ritual

Add the flank steak
Coat with the marinade
Squeeze out excess air
And seal the bag.

Marinate in the fridge
For 8 to 10 hours.
Remove the flank steak
And wipe off the excess

Place the flank steak
Onto the wire racks
The meat can touch
But do not stack.

The ritual
Is complete
Now we feast
On beef jerky
